Emirates reported a 27 percent increase in cargo revenue to AED 21.7 billion ($5.8 billion) for the year 2021-22 on strong demand for essential goods and medical supplies, accelerated vaccination programmes and global supply chain issues. Cargo revenue accounted for 37 percent of the total revenue of AED 58.3 billion ($15.7 billion), down from 57 percent last year (AED 17.1 billion out of total revenue of AED 30.2 billion).

Blue Dart reported a 52 percent increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 137 crore ($18 million) for the quarter ended March 31, 2022 on healthy volume growth and better realisations. Consolidated revenue from operations increased 20 percent to Rs 1,166 crore ($153 million), according to an official announcement. For the year ended March 31, Blue Dart reported a 34 percent increase in consolidated revenue to Rs 4,410 crore ($580 million) and net profit nearly tripled to Rs 382 crore ($50 million).

Global Forwarding, Freight achieved the highest quarterly revenue of all group’s divisions, up 55% to €7.4bn ($7.8bn).
Deutsche Post DHL Group reported a 20 percent increase in revenue to €22.6 billion (nearly $24 billion) as Global Forwarding, Freight, Supply Chain, and Express divisions benefited from solid development in global trade and stronger B2B business. The Group also recorded an excellent opening quarter in 2022 with an operating profit (EBIT) of €2.2 billion compared to €1.9 billion in Q1 2021, according to an official statement.

FarEye, a global SaaS platform provider transforming last-mile logistics, today announced findings from its survey of 1,000+ U.S.-based consumers. The new research revealed how shopping habits and delivery expectations shifted due to the pandemic and e-commerce growth. FarEye’s 2022 Consumer Behavior Survey polled over 1,000 individuals over the age of 18 in the United States. The survey was conducted in March 2022 using a third-party survey platform.
